Join us in celebrating Melinda Collins, our Billing/Accounting Manager, as she reaches a career milestone! After 34 years of dedicated service with Pineland, Melinda has retired.
Melinda joined the Pineland family in 1988 during her last quarter of college, where she worked part time handling the cooperative’s capital credits. When Pineland acquired its first switchboard in January of 1999, she began working full time as a switchboard operator. From there, Melinda advanced to Credit Manager, where she handed all new applications, memberships, customer deposits, and uncollectibles, and filled in as a cashier on busy days. Melinda then moved on to hold multiple positions in the billing department including Billing Assistant, Accounting Assistant, Lead Accountant, and Billing/Accounting Manager.
When asked if she had any plans for her retirement she replied, “spending time with family, gardening, and whatever comes along that sounds good!”
